6. You question is an oxymoron. There is no free shareware. You are supposed to pay for it. Search for freeware on download.com or tucows.com.

8. You're going to need to edit your question to say whether you mean that you want applications/games/etc. if you want specific answers. That said, download.com is a great site with tons of shareware. Sierra.com has a bunch of their old games available as shareware.
