ThingWave is committed to the use of standardized protocols and data models as much as possible. The use of standards improves interoperability and is a core component to fully reach the vision of Industry 4.0 with high-level goals such as interoperability, vendor agnostic communication, AI and IoT.
ThingWave is therefore adding support for the IPSO Smart Objects framework (now called OMA SpecWorks) to our IoT devices, sensors, gateways and Cloud solutions.
Both ThingWave Cloud (Universe) and ThingWave Nucleus (our high-performance IoT integration platform) now support the data models in IPOS Smart Objects and OMA SpecWorks. This enabled seamless integration between our different platforms and third-party systems, such as Eclipse Arrowhead.
