We are pleased to announce that ThingWave’s work with 5G and digitalization is in the media!
This article in the Swedish journal Elektroniktidningen presents the 5G Edge Innovations for Mining project (🔗 https://5gedgeinnovations.se/) where ThingWave is a full partner.
Our role in the project is to deliver new technologies and innovations to make mines not only safer, but also more productive and sustainable. We are developing new seismic sensors with 5G connectivity, Smart cameras with integrated AI capabilities, Edge software and a tool to create Digital Twins on entire mines so that enormous amounts of data can be visualized in real time.
The use of 5G, Edge and Cloud computing combined with IoT and Ai enables novel solutions to be developed. Later in the project, we will commence field testing together with the other project partners such as Boliden, Ericsson, Luleå University of Technology, and others.
